Apartment owners welfare association -reg

Dear friends,

Here is a situation. Many NRIs purchase residential properties in Hyderabad as a form of investment. There are several Apartment Owners' Associations registered under Telangana Societies registration Act 35 of 2001. But the formation of Associations and their Governong Bodies or Exective Committees are being formed without following proper procedures/quoram for the meetings. The parents, many a time, who happens to be the occpants and General Power of Attorney Holders are not allowed to participate in the proceedings of the Associations on the ground that they are not the actual owners of the residential unit. The Meetings of the General Body are many times being conducted without any quorum and sometimes the members of the EC only be available in the meetings convened for the General Body

I would like to know if there are any judgements to help out such a situation. Is there any way to include the parents of the ower, who is not staying in the Residential Unit, be admitted as a member of such Associations as mentioned above?

Regards
