Annulment decree passed. certificate still in force

Hi All,

If there is a annulment decree passed but I never cancelled the  registration of the marraige. There has been a second marraige. However, after 2 years I found out that the marrage certificate was still valid at the registrar.

Would this mean that the current marraige is invalid?? or The decree itself invalidates the marraige for the date of decree.

Thanks

Once annulment decree is given by court, that marriage is annuled.  Show decree of anulment to registrar and get your 1st marriage cancelled.  Your second marriage is valid.
