Ancestral property

we have an ancestral property and filed a partion suit against my father, but he was saying that the property was purchased from my uncles (their brothers) can i elegible for partion of this property.

If the questioned property was purchased by your father ,then you have no right to get partioned the property as the same is self acquired property of yor father.

My Grand father have 4 sons, their share given to my father on sympothy grounds because my father not much educated, but my father saying that property purcahsed from their brothers, in Grampanchayt records Property first purchased by my grand father then mutted to my father, thats why we asking for ancestral property partition.
