Hi All,

Myy father is was a caretaker of my grandfather's agricultural land for last 40 years 1972 to 2012. Now my 6 otther uncles sudenly started asking for share in that property. My question is "When my father carried out all activities for 40 years and no one objected or bothered and now suddenly they comeup with the share demand." Though all property is equally distributed on papers, but all taxation, irrrigations, fertilizers, seeds and every activity was carried out by my father, can my uncles take away that land fro my father?

please suggest.

If the property is ancestral then your uncle are also legal heir of the said property and they have right of accumulating their share and you can't stop them to get away of the property. If it was the self acquired property of your grandfather and he died intestate then their right also arises among all legal heirs.
