I have the original death certificate of a family member which was obtained from the local authorities in Maharashtra. It is in Marathi. I am now required to submit a copy of the death certificate to the employer whose office is outside India. Obviously they will not understand the Marathi death certificate.
What should be done in this case? Going to the municipal authorities to get an English version is not an option. Will an affidavit or something similar be acceptable?
Please advise on the way forward and if there is any format of such a document, please provide it.
