Hi Experts - what is the normal fees paid for a divorce case for an advocate at chennai..?
Initially my advocate charged me 30,000 for the family court appearance and proceedings.
Later,my ex-wife move the petition to high court.
so my advocate demanded 25000 extra since it is a high court proceedings.
please suggest whether his demand is genuine or he is simply scamming?
how can i handle him in between of this case..?
please suggest.

The Advocate fees defers by places, but according to me this is very exact figure of fees. Offcourse every lawyer will definitly ask you for diffrent proceeding before diffrent court. In your case your lawyer has to appear before high court and also have to prepare himself for separate application.
