Addition of subcaste

I am new to the forum .I am a graduate and would like to appear for civil services .My caste is mentioned in the TC is lingayath. But , my sub caste is ganigar and there is no solid document proof to justify that. There is OBC reservation provided to my subcaste and not for caste . please suggest me whether it is possible for me to get subcaste certificate without any document proof
