498a cases

Dear Sirs/Mams,

i am in argument stage of a 498a case and the problem in the said case is that the lady has not lodged the report at the police station where the occurence taken place but in a place where not a single part of the evidence happened or she resides. As such it violates the provision U/S177 and 178 of the Cr.P.C. and the prosecution may take the plea that the offense is continous one. is there latest judgement of the supreme court regarding the lodging report within the jurisdiction and out side the place of occurance

thanks and regards

In my opinion, there are no judgment to this effect, still if you browse for one under rare circumstances, you may find one.
