Indira Samar, a Sanskrit teacher, surrendered yesterday after a court in Udaipur rejected her anticipatory bail application. Samar had allegedly beaten Arpit Kavadia with a cane on July 26, which led to severe blood clotting in his chest. He died on August 2.
4. The Sessions Court at Coimbatore, trying the 1998 serial bomb blast cases in the city, on Tuesday granted bail to seven convicts against whom ""minor charges"" have been levelled.
