"Imla Mallik" troubling residence of the society

Dear Sir / Madam / Lawyers,

I, Navin staying at a chawl named Omkar Welfare Society earlier know as "Maladkar Wadi" at Malad west, Mumbai.

This chawl consists of approximately 26 rooms. This property id also been declared as "Slum" by the collector.

The majority of the people staying here have formed a registered society and changed its name from Maladkar Wadi to Omkar welfare society.

The family who claimed that the property belonged to them lost case and it was declared as slum almost 10 years back. The property name is also been mentioned / included in gazzette copy of slum declared areas in Mumbai, Maharshtra.

The Imla Mallik "Mr. Maladkar" now has started abusing and torturing the room owners to give him money to pay tax. He hurls abuses and even threatens them to throw them out of their rooms.

I would request the experts for suggestions and advice whether an Imla Mallik can do what he is doing? or is there any way this all can be stopped. Also, how much right does an Imla Mallik have once it is a slum declared area and registered society.

dear all respected experts please answer the query since many will thank you for your help and guidance.

You can if possible also suggest some NGO's who can help us or any other way, Thanks

Regards,

Navin D
