stamp duty paid but property not registered

We had purchased flat in 1992 and have paid stamp duty under amnesty scheme but we have lost all original documents and I only have Xerox copy of stamp duty paid and agreement...plz tell me the way out what should I do now as I have to sell the flat...

Whether you are talking Amnesty Scheme of Maharashtra or Gujarat?

Post full facts like how the property had been allotted to you and where and to whom you had paid the alleged stamp duty?

Evidently, yours is merly a hypothetical academic query, not a problem.

How it could be believed that you could forget to take care of the original deed when could keep xerox copy with due care? How funny, it is?

Any reason for awaking after 24 years?

Also, what was the amnesty period, how nuch was the concession permissible in that schem, how much duty you paid for what value of your property and in which state?
