resignation without serving notice period

I resigned without serving the notice period. I took maternity leave of 3 months but wanted extension of 1 month. Extension was not approved so I resigned without serving notice perio as my 2 months old child was not in good health. Company denied relieving letter that time. I have resubmitted the request for relieving letter now. Please advice if I could take any legal action to obtain my relieving document.

You could have consulted before acting in haste!

Did you resign by notice or with immediate effect?

Did you submit leave application citing reason and was it declined in writing/on record?

Has the company issued acknowledgment and acceptance of resignation and issued FnF statement/settlement showing all payables by it and by you and net amount payable?

What the company has declined to issue relieving letter?

Has it declined it in writing?
