Engage an advocate who will apply for bail and get the accused out of police custody. He will clarify all ur queries. During investigation by Police the accused should deny the allegation.

Under which section(s) the FIR has been lodged? What is the allegation leveled/ contents of FIR? Since when your client is in JC?
What do you mean from the statement, ".....Should he grant bail?"
How can you claim your client is an innocent at this stage?

You have to engage a local lawyer expert to defend criminal cases. He would proceed as per case file warrants.

First obtain bail and challenge the case if it is really a false case.
