There is Lodging in Mumbai, one of the partner is death the licence belong to him last five years the other partner is running the same business on that licence .How to cancel the Licence and there is any way that his legal heir will enter in it or that the partner will get the licence in his name.
Plz answer below question
1) If the property is joint and licence is also joint one of them death than the heirs will also enter their name in licence.
2)In mumbai grant road area South Div who is the licence authority to give the licence
3)After the death of party is there any rule that the Licence will continue, To whom i have file the case [LICENCE AUTHORITY]or the insepector whose duty is for inspection and renewal the licence .
4) How can I stop the Licence .
5)Lodging Licence is transferable or not
6)How to get the Attested Copy [Duplicate Copy of licence] to whom name the licence is granted.

Dear anand,
It seems that the licence is standing in the name of a partnership and cancellation of such a licence cannot be equated with cancelling a licence of an individual which can be cancelled on the death of a individual. The partnership can validly hold the licence even after the death of a partner provided if his legal heirs have been properly substituted in the partnership firm.
But if there is any rule of the licence issuing authority that in case of any change of constitution of partnership firm (which if not notified to the licensing authority within a specified time), the licence shall stand cancelled or a fresh licence has to be obtained by the partnership firm then you may lodge a complaint before the licensing authority to cancel the licence.
