my father passed away in may.my mother too is no more.we are two married sisters.my father i his huf has share holdings in demat account.what are the laws for claiming the shares for married daughters

First Obtain the Legal Heir Certificate.Contact the Concerned Broker of the Demat a/c and Confirm all the formalities.Sort it Out with your Sister Whether the Same a/c could be Operated Jointly or you both would Transfer the Shares to your demat accounts amicably.Discuss with the Concerned Broker of your father in Person.

Confirm whether demat account is having any nomination or not?

All the legal heirs may apply to depository and submit required documents.

If depository does not agree, get succession certificate from court.
