Is it legal for the society/builder to ask for service tax on maintenance amount
There is a circular dates 1st Aug. 2001 from Maharashtra Govt. that non occupancy charges for the flats given on rent would be 10% of the service charges. In addition my society is taking extra car parking charges from me as I have given my flat on rent. In addition, now they are asking for an interest free deposit of Rs. 20,000/I got an order from the deputy registrar sent to the society to revert this demand within 15 days, but it is almost a year and they have been still insisting on payment and the deputy registrar does not seem to take any action, even when reminded. What should be my line of action now?

Renewal of leave and license agreement for a flat
Is it mandatory to get a "No objection certificate" from the housing society to renew the Leave and License agreement for a lesse, who is already occupying the flat and his term gets over?
I was under the impression that as per new laws, even for a new lessee "No objection certificate" is not required.
Kindly elucidate.
as per the latest
