Dear Experts, kindly guide: whether First Appellate Court can increase the amount awarded under Section 144 CPC by the Trial Court below, even when the appeal is preferred by the plaintiff and not by the defendant, whose money the plaintiff had appropriated as a consequence of the ex-parte decree which was set aside under Order 9 Rule 13 CPC, and directions given to the plaintiff to refund the said sum under Sec 144 CPC? Pls also provide case laws. Thanks in advance.

Pls guide re procedure for execution of a Special Power of Attorney by a wife to her husband.
1.The Special PoA is intended to be used in Bangalore to sell the property at Bangalore, which is in joint names of both;
2. Husband lives in Bangalore; while wife lives in Gurgaon, Haryana. She also has proof of 'residence address' at New Delhi - her parental address;
3. What all charges, fee, stamp, etc. she has to pay for this Special PoA?
4. Can the Special PoA be executed by her in New Delhi.
5. What value Non-judicial Stamp Paper she needs to buy, if any?

Sir in a execution application being filed by us in consumer forum for executing the award of amount being passed in favour of us,the Forum has asked us to file the list of properties in the name of J.D but we have no knowledge about the same despite our best efforts and on the next date what step we should take to secure our ends ?

How does one calculate the quantum of compensation to be awarded to a victim of fraud BY a bank which did not release the money lying in the victim's Savings Bank account for 26 long years ? (Pls note no one can be compelled to keep, and no one keeps money in a Savings Bank account for 26 ;ong years, especially when the amount runs into crores). Pls share your ideas/opinions/suggestions. Thanks

JMFC court judge is compelling complainant to compound (138 NI Act). My client (complainat) is not ready to compormise. Is there any ruling favouring complainant?
Is it right on the part of the court to compell complainant to compound the offence?
