Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 05 April 2010 This query is : Resolved
Respected sir,
I want to know, whether a person is having right in the property(ancestral- acquired in partition)of his Maternal Grandfather(NANA)? Maternal Grandfather have died without any will. My mother was only child of him and too has died without any will. How property will be distributed? Thanks.

The property of your nana ji which is self acquired or ancestral will go to your mother, after the death of your nanaji your mother became absolute owner being a only child of your nana ji and after the death of your mother, the said property will go to the legal heirs of your mother equally.
Ashok Yadav (Expert) 06 April 2010
The property shall be inherited by legal heirs of your mother, these are you and your brothers, sisters, in equal shares.
