Obtention of Birth Certificate is facilitated through online in states like Tamil Nadu. However, for obtaining Birth Certificate the formatted application itself contains a column enabling the applicant to fill up the Name of the Child. Your competent authority can issue the Birth Certificate with Name is Capital letters based on your written request.

Birth certificates are issued based on the data fed by the hospital where the baby was delivered. If you had named your child immediately after birth and informed the hospital, it could have been reflected in the birth certificate.

Now, if you request the civic authorities (Registrar of Births & Deaths), they may not oblige and there is no necessity for name to be incorporated in the birth certificate.

I do agree with both the experts.
