Wanted to know the procedure in exchange of agri. land

Hello experts,

Me and my cousin brother wanted exchange the agriculture land as after verifying official document we realised that he is cultivating in my lan and I'm cultivating in his land. so now we wanted to know the procedure and how much amount to be spent for this process. any stamp duty we have to pay and how much. also guide for some solution to come out of this.

Show the title documents to a local prudent lawyer for better appreciation of facts and documents before taking next step.
Whether the agriculture property involved is ancestral or self acquired?
Which state the land is situated since stamp duty differ from state to state?

1. EXECUTE a proper Family Settlement Deed, with all the relevant facts and documents and proper clauses for exchange of the land with each other and register the same and give certifed copy of same to Tahsil office for proper mutation.
