Which email.

The resignation has to be as per the terms and conditions of the employment, based on your grade.

As you had intimated to the department, it should not be a problem now.

If your present employment needs 3 months notice for resignation, then you need to pay for the remaining 2 months.

Please check the terms of your appointment in the present organisation. If there is a provision that you can buy out the period short of notice period, you can do so.

But, instead of losing any time in ascertaining all suh things, better you send notice of resignation with your offer to deposit the amount equivalent to the period short of notice period and ask for the amount to be deposited. That way at least your notice would get a place on official records.

However, in technical resignation case, I don't think you would need to observe such a condition, as your department, while forwarding your application through proper channel, would already have consented to your relief on time as and when you receive the call to join in another department on selection through UPSC.

No need not resign since the new appointment is within the central Government itself. The department can relieve you to join in the new post based on the appointment order and your services in the present post will also count in the newly appointed post Get it clarified with the department since there is no change of employer ie.central Government.

Dear Mr.Shonee Kapoor,
My mail id is amoljatkar@ymail.com.
Please provide details regarding payment of two months salary(whether basic pay or grade pay)

Aptly replied by Gabrial. Still you want to pay 2 months salary. I wonder despite your long service in central govt, you still do not know the rules governing your service. Pl. go through the rules; and you will find reply.

Agreeing with what Mr Gabriel and Venkatesh Rao has expressed, I will add that as told by you it si a UPSC selection based on an application under intimation to the present deptt. Your present deptt doe snot have right to withhold technical resignation (unless disciplinary /criminal case is pending) and you new deptt cannot just close the offer if you are relieved after one month. They will certainly no like to undo their tedious and meticulous 1 to 2 years labour in getting recruitment process completed through UPSC.

With 7 years of service you can expect cooperation and good wishes from everyone in deptt who may expedite the relieving.

You are aware of term technical resignation still you are talking of deposit of salary.

However, if you are still keen on depositing the salary then none can help but then you are loosing pension and gratuity for 7 years approx 1/5 to 1/4 of entire service.
