There is no harm to purchase stamps having more value than desired. If you require refund for the excessive stamps then you shall have to follow a long procedure otherwise there is no bigger loss.
prabhakar singh (Expert) 06 January 2012
you do not worry,it is deficiency that makes things a cause of worry and not the excess.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 06 January 2012
Paying more stamp duty is of no problem. It is lesser stamp duty which is deterrent for registration.

Refund is lenghty procedure, considering the amt involved. i.e. rs. 190/-,
so forget.
no harm using a more amt stamps
If amt is less, pur stamps of defeceit of 190/-
ur question is not clear, as to time & amt sd reqd

I Repeat my query....

I have purchased stamp papers of Rs-2320 for conveyance deed.
But later i know that i have purchased lesser amount stamp papers of rs-165 , Exactly i should purchased of amount rs-2490.

My question is this---
can i purchase more stamp paper for same purpose/same conveyance deed/of same name.
And can i add required amount of stamp papers in above concerned conveyance deed now.
Shailesh Kr. Shah (Expert) 07 January 2012
please clear stamp amount figures.

2490-2320=170 not 165?
malipeddi jaggarao (Expert) 07 January 2012
If the deed is already executed, the document is understamped. You will have to apply to the concerned sub-registrar for adjudication by paying the difference amount with some nominal penalty. If you have not yet executed the conveyance deed you can add these stamp papers/stamps and now you can prepare the deed.
Harshada Shukl Kulkarni (Expert) 07 January 2012
I do agree with opinion given by Malipeddi Jaggarao. However, if the COnveyance is executed / registered with more stamp duty then there is no harm.

Purchase stamp paper of Rs.190 more & get it endorsed from the vendor to certify that it is part of the Rs. 2500.This will serve your purpose.

Dear Querist,
You seems to be confused a lot with numbers.

Simply, you can purchase the extra stamp papers and attach to the conveyance deed before producing it for registration.

There is no law which says that the stamp papers shall be purchased on one go.

Purchase stamp papers for the remaining amount and print/type the details of agreement and property so as to prove that the extra stamp paper is with regards to the same agreement.

Thereafter, go for registration.

Despite vague query experts gave right answers.

You can purchase as again asked.
