Divistion in ownership home.

I am living in a 700 sq feet build-up flat in a co-operative housing society, Mumbai. Due to some financial requirement I want to divide my home into 2 small flats so that 1 can be used by me and another can be letted-out.
I want to know what is the procedure to divide my home into two legally, so that i can get different electrical meters, maintenance receipt from society, etc?

1) make an application tot he society to permit sub division of flat

2) after society grants permission then you will have to obtain permission from bombay MUncipal corporation for sub division of flat .

3) you will have to submit usb diviosn plan to society and BMC
