Right to information act,2005

(Querist) 02 November 2011 This query is : Resolved 
A public Information officer (PIO) received a few complaints from Mr.X and on subsequent inquiry, it came to light that the requests were made by impersonation.
What are the remedies/further course of action the PIO can take against Mr X.
How to prevent/ensure that the application is filed by genuine persons?

why do you want make complaint at PIO, the RTI officer for give only information. your question is vague, give me clear.

PIO is not concerned about the real identity of seeker of information and no any enquiry therein is permitted as per RTI Act, however, information cannot be denied on this ground.

PIO can bring this matter before the Information commission when the matter reaches there.
