Regarding legality of raid, arrest & seizure before registering fir.

IN COGNIZABLE OFFENCES CAN A POLICE OFFICER RAID, ARREST AND SEIZE THE PROPERTY WITHOUT REGISTERING FIR? PLEASE GIVE SOME CITATIONS - CASE LAWS.

Yes and No.

FIR can be registered even after the raid, if police officer suspected the accused to disappear or do away with the property.
