Registration of association

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 05 September 2011 This query is : Resolved
Is it necessary that an association has to submit its Article of Association, Memorandum of Association, Constitution and Bye-laws in KANNADA only in Karnataka to get it registered with the Registrar of Societies?

no ! i think it can be in english also.
Shailesh Kr. Shah (Expert) 05 September 2011
Section 1 and 2 of the Society Registration Act, 1860 says about registration of society.
Provisions of this section are silent about language of MOA & Bye-laws and also nowhere in the Act is written.

You have to file in Kannada, now in Karnataka it is mandatory.

Already replied against another question.

However, to repeat, a copy of the originally approved documents only, not translated ones should be provided. However, if that has been made mandatory as per the state's statute, as pointed out by Adv. Rajoo, translated copies may also be supplied along with the original coppies.
