The difference of certified and uncertified RTI reply ??

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 19 December 2010 This query is : Resolved
Are there two type RTI replies --certified and uncertified, if yes what is the difference--if there is any????
Advocate. Arunagiri (Expert) 19 December 2010
Certified copies are given under the seal of the concerned authority.

Uncertified copies are just xerox copies bearing no signatures and seal.

If the PIO has sent a reply signed with his signs in original but without any stamp---is it a certified copy or uncertified??
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 19 December 2010
It is the original copy and neither certified nor the uncertified.

It is neither a certified nor uncertified copy. It is merely an informal communication which has no value. You can insist on proper reply being sent to you.
