Academic query is a query closely related to learning, curriculum or academy - a centre for learning. The term mostly refers to an imaginary, theoretical or non-practical query of no much immediate practical value. It focuses more or less on learning than on doing. Normally it may not be a broad based one.
In fact every query is an academic query because a query normally expects an answer of some sort which may lead to some learning of some kind.
However, this term is being used in this forum by some so called “experts” as a stock phrase when they have no clear answer to a query asked by some answer seekers. When they use this term they want to make the whole world believe that they would have answered the question if it were something else. But the truth is that they have nothing to say on it at all.

Teachers and preachers, may they falsely claim to be expert, but cannot be practical lawyers in life to solve the real life problems. Only quacks/ false experts can't distinguish between the academic queries and real life problems. They feel pleasure in defining academic terms.
