Mentally touchered by father

Hello sir/mam
I'm Priti from bhandup,mumbai.My father name is Ashok .my family is mentally harrassed by my father.he just come home drank and just gives us bad words and not let us to sleep whole night we are facing this problem since our childhood.he also not give us any money for household expenses.we are really frustrated by all this.. I just don't know what to do.we have done police complaint 2 3 times but they tell us this is your family matter we can't do any thing.im really frustrated by all thia.im not able to concentrate on my CA studies....plz help us.

Your father indulging in acts of domestic violence, so your mother or even you as daughter living in domestic relationship in the same household can lodge complaint against your father under the Protection of the Women from the Domestic Violence Act,2005 with the Protection Officer of your district. The proper notice will be served upon him and if necessary the Protection Officer report and complaint on your behalf will be forwarded to the Judicial Magistrate of your area/district for necessary order against your father.
