ceiling leakage

Sir this is arawint from Chennai.am staying in a apartment which is ground floor .am getting leakage from the ceiling .i already informed upper flat.but they are solving it.what I do at this situation.

Hi, since you are staying in the apartment, inform the office bearers of your flat association and give a complaint against the upper flat owner. Alternatively you can also ask the builder to rectify the problem.

if you want to approach the court, then you can file a case in the court against upper floor person as he has disturbed your peaceful possession. you have a case under Torts.(all of us can enjoy our property without any detriment to our neighbours).

Lodge complaint with the association.

Ask the builder to remove the defect. If it due to fault in construction, may approach consumer forum.

Court case is time and cost consuming.
