Do you really belong to SC category? If Negi surname is not SC how can you be treated as SC. If you avoid Negi surname in caste certificate only to get the benefit of SC category, you will land into great trouble and you will not even get the job in general category and live peacefully for the entire life. If it is a deliberate attempt by exclusion of Negi in the caste certificate to get the benefit of SC, better you give up that idea. If you really belong to SC category all your certificates and caste certificate should carry the same name and surname, any exclusions will not give you the benefit of reserved category. Do not land into troubles.

Name and/or surname is a matter of personal choice; it is not deciding factor in determining caste.

I agree with the advise of expert Mr.Malipeddi Jagga Rao in this regard. If you really belong to SC category all your certificates and caste certificate should carry the same name and surname, any exclusions will not give you the benefit of reserved category.Better be careful about this in future too.
