Can you explain how does and under which provision of law a "Sessions Court" passed the orders for payment of interim maintenance of Rs. 2000/- to your wife (an advocate-as stated by you)

In a case in Bombay High Court where the Husband did not obey the Family Court Orders to Pay maintenance he was sentenced to Jail by Family Court and he went for appeal in Bombay High Court .Honorable Justice Roshan Dalvi had confirmed the Family Court Orders stating "The Case exemplifies the stark reality of the agony that the women face when their husbands disobey the orders of maintenance with impunity".
