Wrongly credited amount in my account

(Querist) 10 October 2015 This query is : Resolved
I HAVE USED THE AMOUNT WRONGLY CREDITED IN AMOUNT.
NOW BANK IS SAYING THAT WE WILL TAKE A LEGAL ACTION AGAINST ME IF I DO NOT REFUND.

Anirudh (Expert) 10 October 2015
How much was the amount?
LALIT KUMAR (Querist) 10 October 2015
Amount was 35200/-
Anirudh (Expert) 10 October 2015
You have to refund the amount. If you are not able to refund in lump sum, at least by talking to the bank you can repay in some instalments. Otherwise bank will definitely take legal action to recover the amount.
LALIT KUMAR (Querist) 10 October 2015
I asked them but they are saying I will have to return in lump sum.
Anirudh (Expert) 10 October 2015
You simply credit into your account whatever amount that you can repay first. Immediately, they will adjust against the amount wrongly withdrawn by you. Go on do it till such time the entire wrongly availed credit is fully repaid. So long as you are ready to repay, you need not worry about any legal action.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 10 October 2015
Return the amount you have used. Arrange for the same.

Due to whose mistake the amount was wrongly credited in your account.

What is the problem in refunding the amount, which did not pertain to you?
prabhakar singh (Expert) 10 October 2015
THEY CAN SUE YOU IF YOU DO NOT REPAY.
FOLLOW Mr. Anirud's advice as that shall work.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 10 October 2015
Asked/asking/saying/telling are all verbal modes of communication and may not be on record, at least on record with you.

When you pay, Narrate everything in writing under proper acknowledgment and build irrefutable record with you.
K.S.Srinivas (Expert) 13 October 2015
Agreed with the experts Sri Anirudh and Sri Kumar Doab.
