can any expert please give Specimen writ of prohibition format as i have a false criminal case in trial court.

It is very much similar to that for the issuance of writ of mandamus or certiorari.

Respected Vashista,

I have the format now.

I have experience of filing SLP in the Apex Court and successfully contested.

I am now in the process of filing Writ Prohibition in another criminal case

Somewhere I have seen that:

"The writ is directed to the judge or the officer of the lower court or agency".

I wanted to confirm whether the investigating agency should be included in the array of Opp. Party; in view of the fact that "or agency" has been given.

You are right writ of prohibition is being issued to inferior court or tribunal for stay of proceedings.
There is no harm, rather it is better to implead State either through Chief Secretary or Commissioner of Police as a party.
