First of all, handover the jewelry of your mother to her or relocate it somewhere and then serve her a legal notice for restitution of conjugal rights and then file a petition under section 9 of HMA, though you have not to reconcile. It shall be favourable for you for all future purposes.

Unless she agrees you can not file MCD.
So you can understand that you have to fulfil her demands for getting divorce in no time.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 16 April 2014
Without her agreeing MCD can not be filed. Take the help of relatives and get the terms settled.

If she does not agree, proceed as advised by the expert raj kumar makkad ji.

Yes first take steps that all the valuables in your house and lockers are accounted far.

Than wait for other side to act first since in rage or hurry many mistakes creep in which to exploit in your favor.

This is most reliable defense strategy to win and exhaust the opponent.

your wife does not want to divorce you . she merely wants to extort money from you . you should take the stand that all the jewellery has been taken by her . if your mother jewellery was given to her during marriage it would be her streedhan . she can claim said jewellery

In my opinion you still have chances for reunion and continuation of your married life with her because she seems to have left the home if a fit of anger and the subsequent events are the result of subsisting ego problems between both. try for reconciliation by involving elders from both the sides, if it is not conducive and she is not cooperating but appears to be bent on breaking the marital ties, you are left with no option than for legal recourse of separation through a decree of divorce. The jewels and other things offered to her either by you or your mother or your family members also constitute as 'Streedhan', so better be aware of it in case f any claim made by her in this regard.
