What is the maharashtra co-op.society law for issuing of duplicate share certificate

Respected Sir,

I want to know what is the Maharashtra State Co-operative Housing Society law/s for issuing of Duplicate Share Certificate for the flat which is in Joint Names,in the condition when the Original Share Certificate is misplaced Or Lost.

No reply for repeated query is the stand taken by the experts, I go with them.

1. Firstly, File a "Police Report", for the missing /lost Share Certificate, by giving relevant details, in the local police station.

2. Secondly make a application to the Society with a request to issue Duplicate Share Certificate, AND attach the Original Police Report AND a "indemnity bond" duly executed on a 200/- stamp paper. No need to issue Public Notice, in local newspapers.

3. The Society should be able to issue you a duplicate Share Certificate within say 40-60 days, based on the documents submitted.

4. IF the Society fails, THEN issue a Legal Notice and then consequent to such legal notice, after 30 days, file a grievance application before the local Consumer Court, and successfully claim damages and compensation.
