Dear Sir,
My wife has done the C.P & Gr. Case on me & my others family members under Cr. PC 498A (3/4)/341/504/506 at 2- times & both cases are under trial & running in Rohtas S.D.J.M Court-Dehri (Bihar).(1)Case No-330/2012 & (2) Gr. Case No-30/2013
As per Sr. Advocate of Supreme Court of India Sh. Parmnand Katara & Smt. Kusumlata Sharma Dowry Act 498A under IPC was suspended or termineted by passed order on 31st March,1988- Act No-19 Repelling & Amendment Act (Nirasht aur Sanshodhan Kanoon1988), So under this section no case should be run or trial in any court.
Further he said “ According to “Criminal law Second Amendment Act -1983, Act No-46” the above law was completely terminated.
Request to you that please clarify following things:-

Dear Mr Lalit

Your question is a complicated point of law. We can explain it to your learned Sr lawyers of The Supreme Court so that we can correct ourselves if we are wrong in our views. but in short the Act are applicable that the meaning of Act no 19 is some thing different.

You are sufficient to understand that The laws are applicable All over India.

Dear Sir,
As per Sr.lawyers Section 498A of IPC, inserted in Chapter XXA of the IPC after the Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1983, on December 25, 1983, vide Act No. 46 of 1983, was repealed “as the whole” by the Repealing and Amending Act, No. 19 of 1988, on March 31, 1988. As such, it cannot be treated as law.
If possible please send the repealing & amendment copy Act No-19 of 1988 & Act No-46 of 1983.
Regards

Sr Lawyer will never say so. It is misunderstood by you. If you do not have copy of this Act, leave this hurdle for lawyers only.

If your senior says again the same please give his contact numbers so that we can learn more from him. (or he should practice some more days with a junior)
