Hi,

Can you please tell how to decide the value of stamp paper require for any agreement ?
Does it some % of the agreement value ?

The value of stamp paper for doing an agreement is having no concern with the value of property rather its depend on instructions of state.For example it is Rs. 10/- for each agreement state of Haryana.

In the office of Registrar/Joint registrar, a list of such rates is send by State and you can obtain those from your Taluka Registrar.

It differs state to state, one can know it from sub-registrar office.

The stamp duty of any agreement is subject to provisions of the Indian Stamps Act, you may refer the schedule in the act for determination of stamp duty on different kinds of agreements, however, the provisions are subject to the amendments of the state where the agreement is entered in to.
