Unregistered but notary attested existing gpa

I am looking to buy a property in delhi. The property is having recent existing GPA done in 2015 which is not registered with sub registrar but notary attested. Now can i register the GPA at the time of buying it.

@author, The notary attested GPA is only for evidence. Where no Sub Registrar office is exist then only notary attest document is valid.But for registration of further transactions, the GPA shall be registered if the SRO exists in the place where the principal is residing.

Check with concerned sub-registrar whether the Khasra number mentioned therein the GPA (under sale/purchase)can be registered.
Prefer a property where SALE DEED is being transacted and registered since the GPA do not transfer title of property, especially after the Supreme Court judgment in Surya Roshini case.
