Threatning messages of murder

Hi. I m new here. I want to know that what should be done if someone is sending threatning sms of murder? What can be done in this situation and please provide speedy procedure.

It is certainly a serious offence. File a complaint at the nearest police station and also send a letter to the office of the commissioner of police immediately. Keep the evidence ready along with the justification of the background for the further reference.
