Third child

Respected Expert,

I am gazetted officer in Govt Of Maharashtra since last eight years.

I have two daughters. we want to take third chance .

My query is whether it is allowed? or is there any risk for my job if i take third chance?

Child Care leave for women employees for two years irrespective of other leave obtained already would be applicable only for two children.No other Restrictions Please

Please check Maharashtra government services rule in this regard. If there exists restrictions and conditions preventing third child birth for public service employees in Maharashtra avoid it, if no restrictions go ahead.

There is and there cannot be a legal restriction in having more than children. However many of the benefits such as reimbursement of tution fee, reimbursement of medical expenses, LTC or even maternity leave for a women employee and paternity leave for the male emplyee have been restricted. For the exact nature of benefits restricted, service laws and notifications in the respective State need to examined.
