Tamilnadu family property deals

Hi,

I read in this forum that for property transfer within family the stamp duty is 1% subject to a maximum of Rs.4000.

Whats the definition of family here? Can I transfer my self earned immovable property to my brother and will this be considered family transfer?

Do I still get to use the family transfer clause if I buy the property through POA and later transfer to my brother?

What do you mean to get property through POA?, that type of transactions are considered legally valid hence there is no question of subsequent transfer to family member.
