Submission of original documents in court

I have been asked by my lawyer to provide the litigated property document in original which has to be submitted to the court before the hearing. Is it safe to do that?

You have to furnish the original documents relied on by u. The advocate will take necessary ack form the registry or file the original directly in the court when it will be recorded in the proceedings by the judge.

Agree with Adv Gupta, Some matters require the originals themselves to be produced and marked in evidence.
Immediately after producing the originals in court, apply and take a certified copy from the court itself.
That will show that the court has received the document.
Then after marking in evidence, you can again apply for and obtain certified copies of the marked documents and apply for substitution and take back the originals.

You will file the original documents with a list of documents, however, the court do not issue any receipt for the same. You may procure certified copy of the original documents, which shall be available with you till finalization of the case and replace with originals (deposited by you in the Court).
