Siphoning off of society funds under pretext of bribes

Are managing committee of co op housing societies empowered to draw and pay in cash bribes running in to huge amount without consent of flat owners ? A member objecting to the malpractices is threatened by the white collored goons and police is not acting on his complaint.
Pl. help as it is a serious matter of corruption.

Report the matter to the Registrar of Societies and request for appointment of an Administrator to look in to the affairs of the society.

for payment of bribes funds must have been with drawn from society account . you can question society members regarding the diversion of funds . check audited accounts of society

If any irregularity exist in the society accounts, lodge complaint to registrar of societies.

ALTERNATIVELY, do as follows:

1) Write a Notice to the Society, asking for bills and vouchers for all amounts exceeding Rs. 300/-

2) IF the Society refuses, THEN make a written complaint (for cheating, misrepresentation and so on .... ) against all the managing committee members, to the local police station.

3) IF within 30 days, the Police refuses or does not initiate investigation, THEN file a private criminal complaint against all the managing committee members, in the local Magistrates Court..

4) The above is sufficient to activate the Police for investigation and further legal procedure.
