Service tax

(Querist) 20 December 2014 This query is : Resolved 
I am 100% EOU in software service. Do i need to register for service tax??
It is exempt from service tax payments.

100% Export Oriented Units (EOUs). They do not enjoy any Service Tax exemption. All they can do is to first pay up the tax and get refund by claiming rebate later.
