Dear Experts,
this is in regards to my sister in law (muslim) who was married in goa in the year 2000 with registration as per goa law. as husband is from karnataka they had settled there and her name was endorsed in the ration card in karnataka. after 8 years of marriage her husband died in an accident in karnataka. she have a son of age 6 years. Now my queries are as follows:
1. is she have right/claim in her husband's property?
2. can she re-marry in Goa?
3. if she re marry can her husband adopt her son?
4. after marriage can she again endorsed her name in ration card in goa?
please advise thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot for all your responses. but now latest situation is that, her in laws are asking money (Rs.10,000/-) from my sisiter in law if she wants to cancel her name from their ration card. as the rule in karnataka is the head of the family must give their consent, photograph, and sign in the civil supplies office. at this juncture is there any law that my sis in law can sent a legal notice? to get their sign to cancel her from their ration card? many thanks.

dont cancel name in ration card let it remain . it will help your sister in law in future to show her proof of residence

You should not post your query in piece-meal way. You might have posted the entire facts initially.
Anyway, this is the appropriate time to serve a legal notice.

Your sister in law's in laws cannot demand money from her to remove her name from the ration card, hence a legal notice t this effect may give a proper answer to the issue.
