we applied for power connection to house in pondicherry asst engineer refused to give power connection to our house stating the some objection were raised we filled a case in consumer grivances redresal farum for electiricity dept pondicherry.they passed the order that connection should be established to our house and there is no merit in objections.,but no compensation were paid as per electricity act 2003, so we made a appeal to ombudsman JERC. in his order he stated that "1.because of gross negligence on the part of licencee to give connection the appealent continued sufering monetory loss so pay compensation of rs 10000 to appealant. 2. the licencee may recover the amount from the officials who made this loss by conducting departmental enquiry.
we recieved rs 10000 and we made rti application regarding 2 part of order
they replied that they seeks the reviewal of order and ombudsman reviewed the second part of the order.

so for we have not recieved any communication from ombudsman.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 30 August 2014
From the contents it appears that the Ombudsman has reviewed the order of the consumer forum and this is illegal. Ombudsman cannot review the order of consumer forum, the department should have preferred an appeal before the state commission only.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 31 August 2014
No OMBUDSMAN CAN NOT DO THIS.
This order is amendable to challenge by a Writ court.
