Responsibility of rwa towards funds collected for festivals.

I live in a layout where a group of people are collecting donations for the celeberations of events without permission of registered RWA. The group of people self proclaimed them as a committee but are not legally registered and neither they are connected to RWA. Should that money be audited ?

Your description is short of the facts, whether the FCC is formed by the RWA, as per the provisions of the bylaws of the RWA or not.

However, if there is no such provision of FCC in the bylaws of the RWA, the FCC can be considered as a voluntary group outside the RWA and the accounts can also not be clubbed with the accounts of RWA for audit purpose. Donations by members can also be voluntary with no compulsion for them to donate or not. However, the FCC would be responsible to the donators for their honest functioning subject to check of the accounts for donations and expenditure by the donating members.

Better check your bylaws and pass a resolution to make the FCC as part of the RWA to make that legally accountable to the RWA.

Yes. Agreed with advise of Mr.Dhingra ji. Moreover, as RWA is registered, pass resolution in General Body meeting of RWA to make the FCC as part of RWA and get it be incorporated in the office of Registrar of Socities.
