Dear Friends

This query is purely a law query as Every thing mentioned in MV Act about this procedure. If we know, it is we to answer it.

It may be another thing that we do not have such a case in our practice so we have no ready answer.

Agrawal ji,

Her problem is not merely renewal of DL, but mainly of change of surname, which would not be possible to be changed within the stipulated date of expire of DL without going through somewhat long legal process of change of name/surname of the DL holder.

Ms. Monica,

Get your expiring license changed with the same surname for the time being. Thereafter go for the process of change of surname to get your licene modified later any time officially. You cannot get two processes clubbed together even through any broker.

So, you cannot expect the broker to get your licnce legally renewed with changed surname.
