Registration after divorce

(Querist) 13 December 2018 This query is : Resolved
I have got my divorce done legally, can I cancel my first marriage registration such that it doesn't affect the second one at all?
Vijay Raj Mahajan (Expert) 13 December 2018
You got decree of divorce from the family court, that is sufficient for your remarriage, no cancellation of marriage registration required.
kavksatyanarayana (Expert) 13 December 2018
The Registration of cancellation of marriage is not prescribed. As you have already obtained divorce decree, it will sufficient and no objection for 2nd marriage.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 14 December 2018
After decree of divorce from court when period of appeal has lapsed either of the Ex. spouse can remarry.
While registering the marriage either of spouses may declare their status truthfully as 'divorced'.

For your satisfaction you may check with same O/o Registrar of marriages if marriage certificate can be cancelled?

O/o Registrar has already declined citing reason then there is NO point in approaching again.

1. Why do you repeat same story time and again, it is absurd and ridiculous.
2. If you are not satisfied with FREE advise and obligation of expert you should have preferred to consult a local prudent professional lawyer for proper guidance and proceeding.
3. Divorce decree is self-sufficient and need not get it registered.
4. Moreover, it can not be registered as conceived by you.
